Sophie started her journey back in 2017 when she started studying a degree in Costume with Textiles. She was gaining inspiration and growing in technical skills immersed in a culture of like-minded individuals. Her time at university led her to working in many different theatres, from dressing actors in the West End to designing and making costumes for dance companies, pantomimes and youth performances.

So today The Teatime Sewing Co are passionate about making clothes work for you we think what you wear should be comfortable, stylish and long lasting. That's why we offer a range of services to help extend the life of your clothes, including alterations and repairs. We also offer bespoke dressmaking services, creating unique and beautiful garments that are made to measure just for you.

Bringing her skills and experience home to her home village of Barkham in Berkshire Sophie began building the bones of The Teatime Sewing Co. With a passion and hands on knowledge of theatrical costume and bridal wear Sophie, one stitch at a time began transforming garments, to start with just for friends and family, but soon people sought out her skills to help them look their best. From ill-fitting to figure hugging and threadbare to wardrobe standouts there were countless garments that were given a new lease of life.
